Milton, WI – June 4, 2018 – Charter NEX recently sponsored six PlastiVan® learning events at local high schools near its facilities in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and South Carolina. PlastiVan®, a program sponsored by the Society of Plastic Engineers (SPE), hosts a series of traveling events to educate students of all ages about plastics and the vast array of career opportunities within the industry.

The response was excellent as one teacher commented, “The students were totally engaged and the presenter really got them excited about plastics. This was the kind of exciting career connection these students needed.”

This opportunity provided over 500 students with a hands-on science and technology experience that brought education on aspects of plastic chemistry, history, processing, manufacturing, sustainability, and applications.
