Charter Next Generation, located in Lexington, Ohio, produces the best blown film in the flexible packaging industry. We are looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator that is interested in taking their career to the Next Level!
Essential Tasks
- Develop and Coordinates safety training programs
- Implementation of written safety and health programs and policies
- Develop and manage cross functional teams (safety teams, ergonomics team, manufacturing readiness team, etc)
- Implements controls to minimize safety and occupational health hazards
- Promotes safety and health awareness through internal company memoranda, newsletters, and specific training programs
- Audit manufacturing processes and facilities to ensure compliance with company programs and federal and state occupational safety and health regulations
- Workers’ Compensation claim administration
- Transitional work development / administration
- Incident investigation / Root cause analysis
- Represent Next with regards to regulatory reviews (OSHA, EPA, BWC, DOT, NFPA, etc)
- Permit maintenance
- Comply with all AIB and BRC Standards
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or certification required. Bachelor’s degree in Occ. Health &
- Safety, related field or commensurate experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, DOT regulations
- OSHA 30 hour certification preferred
- OSHA 501 certified preferred
- Minimum 2 years of relevant EHS experience in manufacturing
